You can taste wine biscuits in many areas of central Italy. In Molise these small and fragrant biscuits are prepared with Tintilia, the autochthonous red DOC wine, a wine with an intense and very particular flavor.
One leads to another! They are very simple and quick to prepare.
Here is the recipe (for about 500 g of biscuits):
- 250 g of flour 00
- 75 ml of Tintilia red wine
- 75 g of granulated sugar
- 75 ml of seed oil
- 15 g of toasted hazelnut grains
- 4 g of baking powder
1. Pour all the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix.
2. Pour the oil and wine. Continue mixing by hand and move to a work surface.
3. Work the dough until it becomes elastic and compact.
4. Detaching small pieces from the dough, create small cords with your hands and close them to form the classic shape of donuts.
5. Pass the biscuits in granulated sugar (only one side) and arrange them on a baking tray covered with parchment paper (with the sugared part facing upwards).
6. Cook in a static oven preheated to 180 ° until golden brown (for about 15 minutes).
