Illuminations and a theatrical show to remember the famous singer from Campobasso.
Who does not know Fred Bongusto, one of the most important and beloved Italian singers of the 60s and 70s? Even the youngest ones will surely have heard about it from their grandparents and parents. Even more in these months with the news of his death, on November 2019 in Rome.
Perhaps only a few know that the famous singer and composer was born in Campobasso in 1935, in the heart of the historic center.
His hometown could not fail to pay homage to the famous singer. In Via Cannavina, the suggestive road that connects Piazza Pepe to the church of San Leonardo, in the form of illuminations, the titles of some of his most famous songs stand out with a pleasant background of his songs (in the photo): from ‘Una rotonda sul mare’ to ‘Balliamo’, from ‘Frida’ to ‘Doce Doce’ and ‘Tre settimane da raccontare’.
This evening, Saturday 4 January 2020, the show entitled Fred will be staged at the Savoia Theater in Campobasso. More info here
