Don’t let the cold put you off and take advantage of the first Sunday of November to visit for free the museums and archaeological sites of the region.
On Sunday 3 November 2019, you can visit for free the museums and archaeological sites of the region, thanks to the initiative of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism, which allows free access the first Sunday of each month. Here is the list of museums and sites in Molise. Take note and stay up to date on the website of Polo Museale del Molise.
1. Campobasso: Samnite provincial museum and museum of Palazzo Pistilli
2. The roman city of Saepinum: Museum of the city
3. Gambatesa: the castle
4. Civitacampomarano: the castle
5. Isernia: Palaeolithic national museum
6. Pietrabbondante: the sanctuary
7. Venafro: National museum and archaeological museum
8. Castel San Vincenzo: the abbey
If you opt for a visit to an archaeological site, take the camera with you and take the opportunity to photograph that wonderful phenomenon that is the foliage.
