An extraordinary collection of almost 500 works by internationally renowned artists, the result of the visionary enterprise of Achille Pace.
The Museum of Contemporary Art Termoli (MACTE) was officially born in 2019 in the beautiful coastal town of Termoli.
The MACTE permanent collection comes from the Termoli Prize, born in 1955 from a visionary enterprise of Achille Pace, the greatest living contemporary Molise artist and one of the most original personalities in the international panorama of contemporary art.
Thanks to Achille Pace, Molise can now boast an extraordinary collection of almost 500 works by internationally renowned artists, which testifies to the development of Italian artistic research since the post-war period. The works of the collection, made with a plurality of techniques and materials, are characterized by great originality and experimentation.
The collection contains works of art by Achille Pace, Gino Marotta, Giulio Turcato, Achille Perilli, Carla Accardi and many others, which can be consulted on the MACTE website.
