The weather will be highly variable on May 1 in Italy and in Molise. What to do and where to go?
We recommend you to go towards the sea, where the weather will be mild and sunny. In particular we recommend you to visit Termoli, the delightful seaside town of the coast.
You won’t be able to take a bath but you can enjoy a beautiful day walking on the beach, discovering the beauty and art of the old town and tasting the delicious seaside cuisine.
Moreover, you will have the luck to visit Termoli without the summer crowd.
Here’s how we advise you to organize the day.
Morning
We recommend you a walk on the beach. Leave from the Svevo castle, the symbol of Termoli that rises majestically to protect the old town surrounded by walls. The beach is long and wide and you can take beautiful pictures of the old town from the sea.
Lunch
After the walk you will be hungry, so we advise you to go into the old town and, through narrow streets and alleys, to identify the restaurant that most attracts your attention. You will hardly fail: in general, you eat well everywhere in Termoli. Try the famous “brodetto alla termolese”, a tasty fish soup.
Afternoon
Walk around the historic center: a marvelous succession of small squares and colorful little houses, full of lush plants and flowers. Don’t miss the splendid cathedral of San Basso.
Lose yourself in the narrow streets of the center in search of “Rejecelle”, the narrowest alley in Italy with only 41 cm in width!
At this point we advise you to leave the ancient town and take a walk in the modern city, along the main street of the city, Corso Nazionale, full of shops and cafes.
Evening
You are at the sea, you can’t miss a sunset on the beach!
Finally, if you are not tired, why not dine by the sea?
Happy May Day to all!
