The Praitano-Eliseo collection, the most significant collection of 19th and 20th century works of art from Molise, is online.
‘From the invisible to the visible’ is the name of the project created by the Regional Directorate of the Museums of Molise with the collaboration of the G. Manzù and the Mario Pagano high schools in Campobasso, now available online at this link invisibilevisibile.it/web/website.html
The project aims to bring visibility, to rediscover or discover for the first time, the Praitano-Eliseo collection, the most significant collection of nineteenth and twentieth century works of art from Molise created by Michele Praitano and Giuseppe Ottavio Eliseo.
It is a very important collection, which contributed to the creation of the artistic identity of Molise, and which is divided among several artistic places in the city of Campobasso (mainly in the Museum of Palazzo Pistilli, but also in the Bank of Italy, in the Savoy Theater and in some churches of the city) and in the Gambatesa Castle.
It is not a simple digital collection of works but it is a real multimedia journey in the places where the works are hosted.
