Also this year, Christmas in Molise will have the light which it deserves with “Illumina e vinci”, a competition dedicated to Christmas lights.
“Illumina e vinci” is the name of the competition that has as aim the valorisation of the villages where the citizens will be the real protagonists of this project. The citizens infact will be able to blow up their creativity in real bright masterpieces along the alleys or outside the houses. The format was born thanks to a citizen who had the great idea to use the Christmas lights as a social purpose trying to enlighten this dark period of economic, social and especially relational crisis.
“Together to enlight”, this is the real slogan that you will follow, because this year the purpose is quite different: to feel united despite the distance, following the slogan “distant but united” to deal with this period of pandemic. After all, have you ever seen a Christmas without lights?
There are ten villages which partecipate in this competition: Sesto Campano, Conca Casale, Sant’Angelo del Pesco, Roccamandolfi, San Polo Matese, Petrella Tifernina, Cercepiccola, Campodipietra, San Giovanni in Galdo and Toro. Remember that the entries at the competition are opened until the 6 of December, while the decorations will be in competition from the 8 of December until the 6 of Jenuary.
At the end of this project, a competent jury (which will be different among the towns) will judge the works following different criteria: creativity, planning and scenographic impact. But it does not end here! The photos (which will be taken by different photographers or amateur photographers, chosen by the villages which will partecipate in this initiative) will be evaluated from the social communities on the Facebook page @illuminaevinci.
You’re probably wondering “what’s at stake here?”. Well, the village which will receive more “clics”, will win a reward of food stamps. These will be spended inside the own community to stimulate a circular economy and to sustain the local attivities penalised by this period of pandemic.
Thus, you just need to partecipate, give the right space to your creativity to enlight your small villages and at the same time to feel united also in this strange Christmas!
