“Transiti. Borgese-Cecola-Godi. Amici d’arte” is the title of the contemporary art exhibition housed in the castle of Venafro from 24 May 2019 to 24 August 2019.
Among paintings and sculptures, many of which are unpublished, the exhibition aims to trace the human and creative partnership of three artists: the painters Ugo Borgese and Goffredo Godi and the sculptor Carmine Cecola.
An interesting retrospective which presents extraordinary works little known to the general public, curated by the art historian and critic Tommaso Evangelista.
The figure of Carmine Cecola, a sculptor originally from Monteroduni (Molise), is extremely interesting for the history of Molise art of the twentieth century.
The exhibition is part of the traveling project “Friends of art”, created by the sons of the three artists.
The event is organized by the National Museum of Pandone Castle in Venafro, under the patronage of the Molise Region, the Municipality of Venafro and Aratro – Center for Contemporary Art of the University of Molise.
